Lovely Monday
By Charlie
Okay. We’re fine. Don’t worry too much about us. And thanks for all the notes of support that you’ve sent over the past two days. Yes, we did have a bad stretch last week, but things have really improved.
For example, today I picked up the tickets that will finally deliver us from Mongolia in the middle of July. We will travel with 10 other Luce Scholars and Spouses who will be in Mongolia for the Manly Games (July 11-13). After eating a couple of sheep and drinking ourselves silly for two weeks, we will depart Mongolia for Penang, Malaysia where our program concludes.
Here’s Rachel showing off our tickets:

In other news, Rachel enjoyed a little pre-celebration today for International Women’s Day. The actual holiday is celebrated on Wednesday and it is a huge deal in Mongolia.
I spent the day organizing our trip to the Gobi, which will begin next Sunday. I also visited Mongolian Public Radio and TV for a pretty productive meeting.
And the weather is brilliant. It’s still a bit brisk, but something has changed. The weather is mild and lovely and the wind has blown the pollution away.
