Saturday Hike
March 4, 2006
by Rachel

Yesterday Charlie and I went on a nice, short hike just south of Ulaanbaatar with a group of fiends.

You could see the city and the smog sprawling in the distance. The pile with the blue cloths is called an uvuu. You walk around three times, and leave some rocks and something special. Looking south from Sukhbaatar Square this week the mountains have been magnificent, and while the endless frustrations do wear you down, the mountains are one good part of life here at the moment.
