Finally, An Assistant

By Charlie

UB is full of characters. One of them is this guy:

That’s Jimme. He’s a Dutch guy who has, among other jobs, worked as a test pilot for the Dutch Air Force.

I first met Jimme last fall at a World Series party. I met him again a few weeks ago at a Super Bowl party. Now we work together on the massive project of teaching English to MIAT’s Antonov 26 pilots. He is my assistant.

There’s a lot to say about Jimme. For now, I’ll focus on the fact that our Mongolian pilot friend somehow managed to get Jimme a MIAT employee ID card and an airport security badge. You can tell by the smile on Jimme’s face that he was happy to get these credentials.

In our free time, Jimme and I enjoy exercising the privileges of our airport security passes. Jimme’s favorite activity is to visit the Antonov 2 bone yard.
