Visitors

Our college friends Rob and Gabe arrived on Sunday.

A few hours later, we headed out to the lodge in the Terelj National Park that Charlie and I like. We slept in a cozy little ger, which was lucky because our visit coincided with a snowstorm.

The snow was a good thing because the moisture is needed, and we hope it makes our upcoming trip greener. More college friends, Doug and Georgine, arrive today. Tomorrow morning we head out towards central Mongolia and then south to the Gobi. We are planning to camp for four nights and stay in a ger camp for two. So from May 11 to May 17 we’ll be kicking around the countryside, hoping that no more snowstorms come our way.
